Why?

As a networking enthusiast i of cource take every Opportunity to make components communecate over TCP/IP. Shotland is built to run locally without an internet connection. The Portable router is of cource completely overkill but it has some nice features.
Overview:
Internet Access is not needed for Shotland. It is nice to have to be able to sync the Time of the Raspberry PI for exact Logging. (Sometimes the time is a few days off, then it becomes impossible to associate the logs with a specific party and the Partydasboard is not usable.) As you can see i have many options of connecting the network to another network or to the internet.
